Promoters of Proposed Commercial University, Chhattisgarh are in process of taking legal action against Commercial University Ltd, Delhi for using its name and brand.
Institute of Business Administration and Management Society is in process of setting up an innovation based university in Chhattisgarh called ‘Proposed Commercial University, Chhattisgarh’ which would focus on creating students who create jobs rather than take jobs.
Another organisation called ‘Proposed Commercial University Ltd, Delhi’ is using similar name and granting degrees even after repeated warnings from UGC (University Grants Commission, India). UGC has also listed Proposed Commercial University Ltd as fake university and black listed it. It operates from one room in Delhi and claims to be a university setup under Companies Act, 1913.
Due to similar names of both the organisations, Proposed Commercial University, Chhattisgarh which is being setup under ‘Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operation) Act, 2005’ and has complied with all government requirements and awaiting government approval is warning prospective students and public at large to be aware of organisations using similar names.
Promoters of ‘Proposed Commercial University, Chhattisgarh’ are already in talks with legal experts and educationists in regards to infringement of copyright and trademarks and will take legal action in due course. But for the time being, the promoters are using the public media to make people aware of the frauds in the field of education.
Other such fake organisations also exist world over . Prospective Students and their families should be aware of not putting their money and time into such organisations which will spoil their career prospects.
